Laura Feeney

At the age of four and a half Laura first began playing the violin. At the age of sixteen she gained a place at Chethams School of Music to study the viola. During her time at Chethams she studied with Mark Knight and Graham Oppenheimer and co-led the viola section in both the Symphony and Chamber Orchestras.

Laura has had quartet, quintet and trio master classes from Bernard Gregor-Smith, Masumi Per Rostad and Simon Rowland-Jones. Laura has also had master classes from Thomas Reibl and Julian Lloyd-Webber.

Laura has also been on several courses which have included a tour to Sicily with the English Youth Symphony Orchestra during the summer of 2005. Laura gained a place at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2006 and is currently in her second year studying with Simon Rowland-Jones and Alex Robertson.
